About Shelley's Classes

Expect to work hard, and most importantly have fun!

Shelley's classes are upbeat and uplifting, with a focus on finding your core strength, flexibility and building stamina.

Every single session is bespoke, tailored to the needs of the clients in that class. Shelley makes hands on corrections, so you are able to understand how the movement should feel when you do it.

Group sessions are small, with no more than 12 to each class, so that Shelley can attend to each and every client - ensuring each movement is done so each of you can reach your maximum potential.

Shelley also teaches 121's from her home studio in Truro. 121's will allow you to focus and move through the session with Shelley's guidance.

Corporate packages are also available. Businesses in Truro have benefitted from regular lunch time sessions. These are usually 30-45 minutes long.

So that you can get the most out of your class, and see improvement in your body, Empower Pilates follows the school term, and runs in blocks of 5-8 weeks, with payment taken in a block booking before the term starts.

Chair Classes

These are gentle seated classes, and suitable for the older person, or someone with limited movement. There is some standing work, using the chair or wall for support. These classes are great fun, and social – giving you an opportunity to meet new people. The class will help you improve the functionality of your body and joints, meaning you can perform important tasks in your every day life - such as walking, reaching and bending.

Perfect for those recovering from injury or with mobility issues.


These classes are for those who are new to Pilates and appreciate lots of demonstrations, and corrections.

It can also be useful for someone who is recovering from injury, or who just wants to move their body in a low impact way.


An Improvers class builds on what has been learnt in the Beginners classes – exercises become slightly harder, with more emphasis on building up your core strength, and stamina.


Fun, fast paced classes, that literally keep you on your toes! Here we introduce lots of core challenges, and strength work. A fan of the classical mat series, Shelley will introduce some of the original Pilates exercises.

Expect to feel fully energised after class!

These classes are not suitable for anyone with a lower back issue or no previous Pilates experience.


121's are a great opportunity to receive personalised attention, tailored plans that are unique to your body and its requirements. With 121's you can experience huge benefits and improvements, with a deeper understanding of your body's potential.


Shelley offers Corporate packages to businesses in Truro. These classes can be over zoom or face to face, and are a great way to put some energy back into the workplace! With a focus on shoulders and hips, you can go back to your desk feeling ready to plough through that to-do list.

Medical conditions & injuries
